About Charles Enel

Charles Enel apprenticed to Grillon and Gustave Bazin. He worked for Mougenot and Deroux in Mirecourt, then in Switzerland and Germany, and finally with Silvestre and Maucotel in Paris. In 1911, he established his own workshop in the rue de Rome, Paris, with Felix Bollecker as a business partner. He produced fine workmanship but offered instruments in various qualities. Over 215 instruments were made. They were branded internally and below the endpin.
