Luther Strings Educational Sales and Inventory Coordinator Job Description
Luther Strings is a family-run string shop based in Denver, Colorado, dedicated to providing musicians at every age and ability with the highest quality instruments and repairs, for the greatest value from our friendly team of expert teachers, performers, and luthiers. We are looking to hire a people-centered, administrative string player looking to be a partner in expanding a small business in its next phase of growth. The Inventory Coordinator will report directly to the owner. This position will be responsible for the management of all incoming and outgoing inventory, shipment processing, and CRM system management for inventory.
Compensation Range: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour with Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Retirement Benefits, paid vacation time, and paid holidays. Bonus opportunities will be available based on sales performance.
Hours: Full-time employment, Tuesday through Friday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays 8:30 to 4:30
Location: Luther Strings Retail Shop (2018 S Pontiac Way in Denver and Luther Strings Annex at 1984 S Pontiac Dr. in Denver)
Responsibilities:
Educational Sales
- Manage school and organizational sales for Luther Strings
- Represent Luther Strings at rental events, promotional events, conferences, etc.
- Maintain the calendar for lesson studios
- Invoice private teachers for studio rentals
- Manage the flow of organizational and school repairs to the repair shop
Inventory Coordination
- Process all incoming inventory from distributors for the sales floor
- Track all inventory with the Sales Manager
- Work with Store Owners to manage the need of new products for the store
- Conduct the annual Luther Strings inventory with Store Manager
- Adequately stock the retail space daily
Other Responsibilities
- Prepare the shop for opening each day
- Assist the Store Manager with projects as needed
- Sales floor customer service as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- String musician preferred - able to play and demonstrate on violin, viola, or cello
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Experience with retail, customer service, and office administration
- Comfortable interacting with students, parents, teachers, and employees
